I added a reservation on one device, but on the other it did not show up. What to do?

If you are using the BedBooking app on more than one device and noticed that a new reservation added on your phone, for example, did not appear on your tablet or computer, follow the steps below to see what happened.

1. Check if you have active synchronization

Synchronization between devices only works properly if all the following conditions are met:

  • Synchronization is enabled in the app.

  • The device is connected to the Internet.

  • You have logged into the same BedBooking account on all devices.

  • The app has been synchronized manually or automatically after adding a reservation.

To force synchronization, click the refresh icon (circle arrows) on the application bar:

2. Check that the reservation has not been moved to cancelled

If a reservation was added on one device and then a reservation for the same room and the same date was added on another device, the older data may have been overwritten. To avoid conflict, the system automatically cancels the reservation that causes the overlay and moves it to the Cancelled Reservations section.

We do not allow a situation where there is more than one reservation for the same room at the same time.

3. Example of a conflict scenario

  • On device A, you add a reservation and the app synchronizes the data with the cloud.

  • On device B, which has not been synchronized before, you add a reservation for the same date.

  • When you sync device B, a sync error 5 occurs and the reservation is automatically canceled to avoid a conflict in the calendar.

4. Where to check cancelled reservations?

You can find all canceled reservations under: Main menu > Reservation list > Canceled:

5. Where to check synchronization errors?

If there is a synchronization error, you can find details in: Main menu > Notifications (bell icon):
