A reservation conflict has occurred during data synchronization. What should I do?

During synchronization with Booking.com, a reservation conflict may occur. This happens when:

  • Two bookings exist for the same room and time - one from BedBooking, the other from Booking.com.

What happens in case of a conflict?

BedBooking automatically resolves the conflict using the following rules:

1. The Booking.com/Airbnb/iCalendar reservation has priority.

2. The BedBooking reservation is cancelled.

3. The Booking.com/Airbnb/iCalendar reservation is added to the BedBooking calendar.

Where can you see the conflict?

The conflict will be displayed under Notifications (bell icon).

Clicking the notification takes you to the details of the cancelled reservation.

What can you do?

Change the reservation status

If the guest confirms they still want to keep the reservation:

1. Open the cancelled reservation.

2. Click Change status > Lack of payment/Down payment made/Fully paid.

Recommendation

To minimize the risk of conflicts:

Synchronize your data regularly, especially if you often make manual changes in BedBooking.

Applies to other integrations too

This automatic conflict resolution also applies to:

  • Airbnb

  • iCalendar synchronization
