Booking.com integration - general information

The integration of BedBooking with Booking.com enables two-way data exchange between the systems – reservations, prices, and availability. This means you don't have to manually update your calendars and you avoid the risk of overbooking.

What data is synchronized?

  • The following data is transferred from BedBooking to Booking.com:
    • availability (occupied dates in the calendar),
    • prices,
    • availability restrictions (e.g., minimum length of stay, permitted arrival/departure days).
  • The following data is downloaded from Booking.com to BedBooking:
    • reservations (current and all future reservations),
    • prices and availability restrictions - during the first integration.

This ensures that both systems always remain consistent, and changes made in one place are reflected in the other.

Synchronization frequency

Synchronization works automatically and very frequently:

  • Export (BedBooking -> Booking.com): immediately after each change in the application. This means that every new reservation, cancellation, edit, or change in price/availability in BedBooking immediately appears on Booking.com.
  • Import (Booking.com -> BedBooking): new reservations from Booking.com are downloaded to BedBooking every minute.

Such a short synchronization cycle ensures that calendars are always up to date.

Import existing reservations from Booking.com

When you first set up the integration, you can decide whether you want to import reservations that are already on Booking.com into BedBooking.

  • The import includes all current and future reservations.
  • In case of conflicts (when a reservation from Booking.com overlaps with a reservation in BedBooking), reservations from Booking.com take precedence. Reservations existing in BedBooking will then be automatically canceled and moved to the canceled list.

This ensures that the base system (BedBooking) always contains up-to-date and correct reservations. Cancelled reservations do not disappear - you can find them in Menu -> Reservation list -> Cancelled tab.

Integration requirements

  • Integration with Booking.com is only available in the paid version of the application.
  • After the Plan expires, synchronization is suspended, which may lead to outdated data on Booking.com and the risk of overbooking.
  • Before connecting, it is worth ensuring that the currency and room configurations in both systems are consistent.

Summary

Thanks to the integration of BedBooking with Booking.com:

  • your prices, availability, and restrictions are automatically transferred from BedBooking to Booking.com,
  • reservations from Booking.com are automatically added to your calendar in BedBooking,
  • importing existing reservations allows you to easily start working with the system,
  • frequent synchronization (every minute) ensures that your data is always up to date,
  • the whole process works without the need for manual intervention - you save time and avoid mistakes.
