Configuration of email and SMS templates

The BedBooking app allows you to quickly communicate with your guests, through message templates. This allows you to set up the most needed communication with your guests and send them through your favorite tools such as Gmail, Outlook, SMS, or Skype.

How to configure message templates?

1. Open the main menu and select the Bookings tab, then Message templates

2. In the tab you will find the available templates, which you can freely edit:

  • Request for payment
  • Reminder
  • Reservation cancelled
  • Confirmation of payment
  • Confirmation of payment of the full amount
  • Thank you for your stay

3. Select the template [1] and the Template language [2] you want to edit:

The default message templates are translated into all language versions supported by BedBooking. This allows you to send messages (email, SMS) to foreign customers in their native language.

4. Edit the title [3] and/or content [4] of the message template:

5. Save [5] the changes.

How do tags work in message templates?

If you want the data from the fields of the booking form to be automatically filled in the message, use tags. With tags, you don't have to manually rewrite the data from the reservation form into the message each time.

Example:

1. In the message template you add a sentence:
The final price for the booking is #Final.price# PLN.

2. The guest receives a message that reads:
The final price for the reservation is 1200 PLN (1200 is the value taken automatically from the Final Price field in the reservation form).

Remember that once you have prepared your own template:
a) create a test booking,
b) send the message template you prepared to your email address.
This will help you verify that the final result meets your expectations.
