Length of stay on the day of the arrival

Setting the length of stay on the day of arrival is a useful option for accommodation owners who want to control how long reservations starting on a specific day should last (this is the guest's arrival day, i.e. the day on which the guest begins the reservation).

These restrictions define how travelers can book a stay at your property, based on your preferences. If you apply these restrictions, potential guests will only be able to make a reservation with you if their search criteria meet the conditions you specify.

How to enable Minimum/Maximum length of stay on the day of arrival:

1. In the menu, go to the Price list section, then click the Configuration tab or click the Settings button in the Set prices tab.

2. Click the Availability tab.

3. Enable the Minimum length of stay on the day of arrival and/or Maximum length of stay on the day of arrival option by checking the appropriate button in the list of availability restrictions.

4. Save the changes.

Once activated, this option becomes available in the price editing window in your Price list.

How to set the Minimum/Maximum length of stay on the day of arrival restriction?

Go to the main view of your Price list and select the dates for which you want this restriction to apply, then enter the number of nights and select the days of the week to which the restriction should apply. If you have an active Booking.com integration, the restriction must be set separately for each rate plan.

Minimum length of stay on the day of arrival:

By entering the number of nights, you specify the minimum length of reservations.

Example:

If you set the minimum length of stay to 3 nights, your property will not appear in the search results of guests looking for a 2-night stay starting from the planned arrival date.

Additionally, you can set this restriction for selected days of the week.

Example:

If you set the minimum length of stay to 2 nights and select Friday, every reservation that starts on that day will have to last at least 2 nights. This way, you can be sure that reservations will cover the entire weekend (from Friday to Sunday).

Will the Minimum length of stay on the day of arrival restriction be sent to the Reservation System?

Yes

Will the Minimum length of stay on the day of arrival restriction be sent to Booking.com?

Yes

Will the Minimum length of stay on the day of arrival restriction be sent to Airbnb?

Yes

Maximum length of stay on the day of arrival:

By entering the number of nights, you specify the maximum length of reservations. It works in the opposite way to the minimum length of stay.

Example:

If you set the maximum length of stay to 7 nights, guests will not be able to book a stay for more than 7 nights, counting from the planned arrival day.

Additionally, you can set this restriction only for reservations that start on selected days of the week

Example:

If you set the maximum number of nights to 7 and select Monday, then all reservations that start on Monday cannot be longer than 7 days.

Remember that this restriction applies only to reservations that start on a specific day of the week.

If you want to make sure that weekends do not remain half empty, go to the article Minimum/Maximum length of stay through and learn more about it. For example, reservations ending on Friday will also have to meet the minimum length of stay condition.

Will the Maximum length of stay on the day of arrival restriction be sent to the Reservation System?

Yes

Will the Maximum length of stay on the day of arrival restriction be sent to Booking.com?

Yes. However, this restriction must be set separately for independent and dependent plans so that it applies to your entire offer on Booking.com.

Will the Maximum length of stay on the day of arrival restriction be sent to Airbnb?

Yes

How to disable the restriction?

Go to the Price list settings, then to the Availability tab and uncheck the button next to Minimum/Maximum length of stay on the day of arrival, then save the settings.

Tip: Flexibility in Moderation

The more restrictions you set, the more you will tailor offers to your needs. However, remember that your property will not be displayed in the results if it does not meet the restriction conditions. Overly restrictive settings may limit the number of potential guests.
