As of July 12, 2023, Booking.com has changed the naming of reservations exported from the portal. From now on, they will appear on the BedBooking calendar with the name "Not available" which is to indicate that the date for booking is not available.
It may happen that in addition to importing reservations from the Booking.com calendar (Extranet), so-called Closed dates will also be downloaded.
Since the Booking.com calendar is connected to the BedBooking calendar, availability should be managed only from within BedBooking (Channel Manager). If Closed appointments are also downloaded (in addition to bookings), this can cause numerous errors to appear on the BedBooking calendar, such as overlapping "Not available" appointments or splitting closed appointments into single days (image below).
What to do to avoid this?
To avoid similar confusion on your calendar, please use the following steps:
1. go to your Booking.com account (Extranet) -> Pricing and Availability -> Synchronize Calendars
2. locate "Export options" and then click "Change"
3. select "Booked dates only" and then click Save
4. next to each room you want to synchronize with BedBooking via iCalendar, click "Import Now"
5.The last step will be to go to your BedBooking account. Please click Menu -> Sales Channels -> iCalendar -> Settings tab -> click "Fix".
After following the above steps, the split and overlapping "Not available" appointments on the calendar should be corrected, and the situation will not recur in the future.
