By selecting a comparison period in the Comparison Period Selection Control, the data comparison function in the Statistics module is activated. It allows you to see how the condition of your business has changed compared to the past.
Each of the Statistics modules has algorithms that calculate the percentage change in the base period data relative to the comparison period data.
The percentage change for each module is calculated in a similar way:
- Total income module
If your income in the base period was €6,000 and in the comparison period was €4,000, Statistics will show a 50% increase in income.
- Occupancy module
If your occupancy was 50% in the base period and 40% in the comparison period, Statistics will show an increase in occupancy of 25%.
- Revenue and occupancy module
If the income at a given chart point in the base period is €200 and occupancy is 70%, and in the comparison period the same chart point has an income of €600 and occupancy of 90%, Statistics will show a decrease in income of 67% and occupancy of 22%.
- Additional data module
- Number of bookings
If the number of bookings of the base period was 20, and in the comparison period was 15, the Statistics will show an increase in the number of bookings by 33%.
- Booking Window
If the Booking Window of the base period was 15 days, and in the comparison period was 20 days, the Statistics will show a decrease in Booking Window by 25%.
- Number of cancellations
If the number of cancellations in the base period was 2, and in the comparison period was 6, the Statistics will show a decrease in the number of cancellations by 67%.
- RevPAR
If RevPAR in the base period was €350 and in the comparison period was €100, Statistics will show an increase in RevPAR of 250%.
- ADR
If ADR in the base period was €100 and in the comparison period was €350, Statistics will show a 71% decrease in ADR.
- Average booking length
If the average booking length in the base period was 14 nights and in the comparison period was 10 days, the Statistics will show an increase of 40%.
- Booking Origin module
If 10 bookings came from Airbnb in the baseline period and 6 in the comparison period, Statistics will show a 67% increase in bookings from Airbnb.
- Income Origin Module
If €1,200 in income came from Airbnb in the base period and €1,500 in the comparison period, Statistics will show a 20% decrease in income from Airbnb.
