When you decide to enable PayPal in the new booking system, you need to change the data for its configuration in the web application in the "Pricing" – "Booking methods" view.
PayPal requires a valid Client ID and Secret to properly handle payments in the new booking system. You can find them in your PayPal admin panel. Copy both strings and paste them into the appropriate places in the BedBooking web application ("Pricing" – "Booking methods"). The API Password field is not required, you may leave it blank.
You cannot use PayPal for payment processing in the old widget (Widget – OLD) and the new booking system at the same time. Entering new configuration data will cause PayPal to stop processing payments for the old widget (Widget – OLD).
How to obtain PayPal client ID and client key?
- Go to https://developer.paypal.com.
- Log in and go to "My Apps & Credentials"
- From the created applications, read the corresponding Client ID and Secret
- If you haven't created any apps yet, click Create App to create a new one
- Fill in the details
- Display the Client ID and Secret
