Setting appropriate reservation restrictions in advance is a key element of effective property management. This allows you to avoid sudden reservations and allows you to better prepare for the reception of guests. Below you will find a practical step-by-step guide.
Step by step: How to enable minimum and/or maximum reservation advance?
Step 1: Go to the "Price list" section in the menu and then click the "Configuration" tab or click the "Settings" button in the "Set prices" tab.
Step 2: Click on the “Availability ” tab.
Step 3: Enable the "Minimum reservation advance" and/or "Maximum reservation advance" option by checking the appropriate button in the list of availability restrictions.
Step 4: Save your changes.
Once activated, this option becomes available in the price edit window in your Price list.
“Minimum reservation advance” restriction:
The "Minimum reservation advance" restriction allows you to precisely determine the time that must pass between the booking and check-in. This is a useful tool that allows you to avoid surprising last-minute reservations.
How to set it up?
Go to the main Price list view, select the restriction period and enter the number of days and hours that must pass before check-in for the guest to make a reservation.
Example:
If you set the minimum advance notice to 1 day 0 hours, guests will not be able to book a room for the same day, but will be able to do so for the next day.
How is the time before check-in calculated?
Our system takes into account time from midnight on the day of check-in. In other words, when setting e.g. 1 day, it also applies to the day on which the reservation is to start.
Example 1:
Let's assume you set the limit to 1 day 0 hours and select the day of the week to be Wednesday. This means that the guest will be able to make a reservation no later than 23:59:59 on Tuesday.
This will help you avoid booking several hours before check-in.
Example 2:
If you want to enable reservations up to 10:00 a day in advance, you should set the minimum advance reservation time to 0 days 14 hours. The time is counted from midnight back to the day of check-in.
Example 3:
If you want guests to make a reservation at least two days in advance by 20:00, you should set the restriction to 2 days and 4 hours with a day marked, e.g. Friday. This means that reservations can be made no later than Wednesday at the latest 20:00.

“Maximum reservation advance” limitation:
The "Maximum reservation advance" restriction allows you to control how long before the scheduled check-in, a guest can make a reservation. This is useful when you want to plan for the long term and avoid booking too far away.
How to set it up?
“Maximum reservation advance” can be set by specifying the maximum number of days a booking can be made before the expected arrival date. To do this, you must specify a number of days as the restriction. If we want to set the maximum advance notice to 30 days, this will mean that reservations will be accepted within the next 30 days before the arrival date.
Example:
Let's assume that you want to set a Price list for the entire year, from January to December, but you are concerned whether the prices set will still be appropriate for the prevailing conditions. In such a case, it is worth setting a limit on the maximum advance booking, e.g. for 3 months (entering the limit as 90 days). Thanks to this, you can be sure that reservations for a period longer than the next 3 months will not be accepted. This is important because there is a risk that someone will book your property in January for July at the old price, while you would increase your prices in the meantime. Setting a maximum advance booking limit therefore ensures that you can update prices in line with current conditions, avoiding bookings at outdated prices.

How to turn off restrictions?
Go to the Price list settings, "Availability" tab, and uncheck the button next to "Minimum reservation advance" and/or "Maximum Advance Reservation", saving the changes.
Tip: Flexibility in Moderation
The more restrictions you set, the more you will adapt the offers to your needs. However, remember that your property will not be displayed in the results if it does not meet the restriction conditions. Too restrictive settings may limit the number of potential guests.
