Various symbols and markings appear on the Price list to help you understand what is happening with the prices. In this article, we will explain what these Price list symbols mean. This will give you better insight into price management in your property.
1. Days with unfilled prices
"Days with unfilled prices" are those for which prices have not yet been entered. This means that the given days are not available for booking, in other words, they are closed due to the lack of prices at which they could be sold.
To set your rates, simply click on the appropriate box in the rate grid that corresponds to the room and day you want to set your rate. After clicking, you will be taken to the panel where you can enter the price per night, set availability restrictions (e.g. minimum length of stay on the day of arrival, check-in blocking) and specify the dates for which given settings are valid.
2. Reservations
The "Reservations" markings on the Price list indicate that accommodation reservations have already been made on these dates. There is no indication of their origin, i.e. whether they are your own reservations, a reservation system, Booking.com or Airbnb. It is a useful tool for effectively managing availability and prices. This allows you to see where there are gaps between bookings, which means those days are difficult to sell. This is an excellent opportunity to offer promotional prices and optimize earnings for your accommodation facility.
3. Days with missing prices
"Days with missing prices" on the Price list are marked in red and indicate that action is required because that day has been closed and is not possible to book due to partially uncompleted prices.
This happens when prices for a given day have been previously completed and then a new price option is added in the Price list settings, e.g. "Weekend price". In such a situation, the price field for the new option is empty, which means that it must be completed.
To solve this problem, just click on the date with a red mark and fill in the missing prices for the new pricing option, e.g. enter the price for the weekend. Only then will this day be unblocked and it will be possible to make reservations during this period.
4. Days with availability restrictions
Light green "Days with availability restrictions" bars on the Price list mean that availability restrictions have been set for that day, e.g. "Minimum length of stay on the day of arrival".
To find out more about the availability restrictions in force on a given day, simply:
- 1. Hover the mouse cursor over a given day and hold it for 2 seconds, which will display a price preview along with the set availability restrictions (option available only in the desktop view).
the
- 2. Click on a given day to go to edit prices and availability restrictions, where you will be able to check and adjust the availability restriction settings.
5. Important day: How to mark special dates?
The "Important day" mark on the Price list allows you to quickly mark the entire day and is useful for marking important events or occasions that may affect the price of accommodation. For example, when there is a large event or concert in your area, you can mark that day as "Important Day" and set a higher price for the night.
When you check "Important Day", the entire column in the rate grid for all rooms will be highlighted with grey bars. This allows you to quickly see which days are important and may require adjustments to prices and conditions.
To use this feature, just click on a given date, and the entire day will be marked on the price grid. You can then adjust the price and conditions for that special day to get the most out of your event.
